The Second Temple period will look at the Jewish rebellions, including the Maccabees against the Greeks, the Jews against the Romans, Bar Kochba's reconquest of Jerusalem, and the splintering of Jewish society into numerous Jewish sects. We will discuss the significance of the development of the Talmud and the Dead Sea Scrolls. Also considered will be Jesus' Jewish identity and the beginnings of Christianity emerging from Judaism.

Adele Raemer is an American born Israeli who has lives in Kibbutz Nirim, one mile from the border with the Gaza Strip since 1975. She founded and moderates an 8,000 member-strong Facebook group called Life on the Border with Gaza. As a blogger and spokesperson she has traveled throughout the world speaking on behalf of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, the Jewish National Fund , and addressed the UN Security Council in 2019. Since Oct 7th, she has participated in two delegations sent abroad to speak with lawmakers in Washington DC and in Berlin, Germany and has been interviewed on CNN, Fox News, Wall Street Journal and CBS.

Corey speaks about his experience serving in the Gaza War for the past month, after coming from the US to serve in reserve duty.
About Our Speaker:
Cory served as a lone soldier in IDF speical forces and wrote " A Line in the Sand" about his experiences. He also runs The Lone Soldier Podcast. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, Corey Feldman moved to Israel and enlisted in the IDF. Corey served for 3 years in the special forces, and has just completed his 10th year in the reserves, where he holds the rank of Master Sergeant.
Corey has an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology, and a Masters in Healthcare Innovation from The University of Pennsylvania. Corey is a volunteer EMT with the Central Park Medical Unit, procudes the podcast, Healthcare Reimagined, which can be found on Spotify and Apple podcasts.
Since leaving the military, Corey has spent his career scaling early stage healthcare companies as an investor and growth leader, and is currently fundraising for his healthcare startup Covered.
